The VSI sand maker, also known as Vertical Shaft Impact Crusher, saves 50% energy compared with traditional sand‑making machines. Developed based on feedback from end‑user operation data, it is an eco‑friendly manufactured‑sand equipment featuring high production efficiency. It produces high‑quality finished sand with excellent particle shape, and the proportion of particles below 5 mm can reach over 80%. Working Principle of VSI Sand Maker
Raw materials enter the machine through the feed hopper and pass through the central feed opening into the high‑speed rotating impeller, where they obtain acceleration up to dozens of times gravitational acceleration before being ejected at high velocity from the impeller. The ejected materials first collide with another portion of freely falling rebounded materials. Together they strike the material lining (Rock‑on‑Rock mode) or impact block (Rock‑on‑Iron mode). The materials are rebounded obliquely upward to the top of the vortex chamber, then change direction and move downward. They further collide with materials discharged from the impeller passages to form a continuous material curtain. Inside the vortex crushing chamber, each material particle undergoes two or multiple impacts, friction and grinding for fragmentation. The crushed materials are discharged from the bottom discharge outlet.
